Today's VR giveaway takes you to hell: Metal: Hellsinger VR, a wild genre mix of first-person shooter and rhythm game for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 2, was released on September 26. The award-winning game, which has sold more than three million copies on PC and consoles since 2022, promises an even more intense gaming experience in VR. What awaits you in Metal: Hellsinger VR
Metal: Hellsinger VR was developed by Swedish studio Lab42 Games in collaboration with publisher Funcom specifically for VR. In the role of the half-demon The Unknown, you shoot and slash your way through the hordes of hell. The highlight: the better you perform your actions to the beat of the metal music, the higher your wrath multiplier increases.
At the highest level, you not only deal massive damage, the songs also unfold their full splendor. The original soundtrack includes tracks by musicians such as Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Matt Heafy (Trivium) and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy).
In contrast to the non-VR original, you can fire the twin pistols independently of each other in the VR version, reloading is manual and you swing the sword freely in time. Metal: Hellsinger VR will be released on September 26, 2024 for Meta Quest 2 and 3 and on October 3 for PC-VR via SteamVR and Playstation VR 2.
