First VR180 Smartphone: SLAM VR180 3D Smartphone Crowdfunding Campaign Launched
A crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo aims to fund the world's first VR180 smartphone.
We recently reported on the first smartphone with a VR180 camera. The Indiegogo page (link in the sources) is now online.
Two versions of the SLAM VR180 3D smartphone available
There is a 30% discount for customers who order within the first 24 hours. There are two versions of the smartphone:
- 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage (289 US dollars Early Bird)
- 12 GB RAM, 512 GB storage (319 US dollars Early Bird)
In addition to a 2D main camera with 50 megapixels, the smartphone also has two lenses to produce VR180-3D photos. These take photos at 6K and videos at 4K.
This is similar to the resolutions of previous VR180 consumer cameras, such as the Lenovo Mirage Camera. A certain amount of blurring must be expected with 4K video. However, higher photo resolution for VR180 (8K) is currently only available for around 2000 US dollars in other professional products.
The advantage of the device is that you always have it with you when using it as your primary cell phone, and you can use it to create VR180 media at any time.
