First fantasy role-playing game announced for high-end VR arcade
In Sandbox VR's latest VR arcade game, Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire, players decide how the story of the Fantasy-RPG unfolds.
Sandbox VR continues to expand its line of location-based VR games. In “Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire” players will enter a virtual reality fantasy world where they can follow a non-linear story and make their own decisions. The varied quests are designed to change the gameplay experience with each playthrough.
VR fantasy setting and non-linear storyline
Dragonfire is the first Sandbox VR game to feature branching storylines. This allows players to play through the VR game multiple times and experience a different adventure with each playthrough.
In Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire, you will travel with a group of adventurers through a magical castle filled with characters and secrets. You'll explore a ruined fortress, an underground river, a cursed tomb, and the Dragon Tower.
You'll fight a variety of enemies with typical fantasy game weapons such as swords, axes, bows and arrows, and magical attacks. Violent scenes can be turned off so that younger or more sensitive players can enjoy the VR experience.
Video game veterans develop for VR Arcade
The VR experience was designed and developed at Sandbox VR's in-house studio. Dragonfire will be released in all Sandbox VR locations worldwide. Read our Sandbox VR review to find out what you can expect there.
“Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire” was created by an experienced team of developers. Among them is Michael Hampden, former lead designer of the Assassin's Creed series. Sandbox VR currently operates in over 35 locations worldwide and is expanding rapidly.
The crisis that nearly bankrupted Sandbox VR during the pandemic seems to have been overcome. With approximately 100,000 tickets sold per month, Sandbox VR is the world's fastest growing provider of location-based VR experiences.
