Popular social VR platform Rec Room has announced an unexpected collaboration with Bungie. You can now experience Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet in Rec Room.
The centerpiece of this collaboration is a detailed replica of the Tower from Destiny 2, which now serves as a social hub in Rec Room. You can find the tower in the Rec Room in virtual reality as well as on desktop, console, and mobile devices.
You can also assume the role of a Guardian and take on challenging training courses and encounter familiar enemies from the Destiny universe.
To complete the Guardian look, there are exclusive Rec Room cosmetics based on the Hunter, Titan, and Warlock classes. The Hunter set and weapon skins are already available, with the Warlock and Titan sets coming in the coming weeks.
Rec Room: From VR to multiplatform success
Destiny 2 is not the first big-name brand to appear in Rec Rooms. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have also visited the social platform.
