CONTEXT

Market for display glasses continues to develop

RayNeo, a subsidiary of display manufacturer TCL, has already gained initial experience in the US market with the X2. A $150,000 developer fund is intended to promote app development. With the X3 series, RayNeo is now targeting the mass market and offering developers its own tools and platforms.

Manufacturers such as RayNeo and Xreal are occupying a niche between AR glasses and smart glasses with their wearables. These display glasses primarily extend the screens of smartphones or other devices, but can also offer rudimentary augmented reality features in some cases.
