In addition to the voice cast, Meta also announced more information about the game in the latest episode of the Developer Deep Dives. In the November Deep Dive, Mari Kyle introduced the hunting, crafting, and ally gods of Asgard's Wrath 2. The latest and final installment of the series reveals two more key elements of the game: Cosmic Events and Loki Anomalies.
Cosmic Events and Loki Anomalies introduced
Loki Anomalies are disturbances from the afterlife that you must fight to earn rewards. Caused by Loki's flight through the worlds, anomalies can occur at any time and anywhere in the game.
They range from scavenger hunt-style missions and combat-based challenges to Meta Quest 3's exclusive Mixed Reality anomalies, where you must defend your own physical space from waves of invading enemies.
Cosmic Events are timed challenges where you earn points for completing objectives. This unlocks exclusive in-game rewards. Kyle hints at upcoming updates, promising new types of Loki Anomalies.
There will also be a new launch trailer with more revelations at this year's Game Awards on December 7th. Asgard's Wrath 2 will be released on December 15th, 2023 for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro and will cost $60. Those who purchase a Quest 3 before the release date will receive the VR RPG for free.
