Alien: Rogue Incursion looks nasty in first story trailer
The first story trailer for Alien: Rogue Incursion is here, and it promises to be a nerve-wracking VR game. But see for yourself.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is the first Alien game designed from the ground up for virtual reality. Visually, it is based on the retro-future of the two original films, with CRT monitors and analog equipment such as the motion scanner.
Survios has now released the first story trailer, which provides new insights into the plot.
Playing as soldier Zula Hendricks, you travel to LV-354, Purdan, to find out what happened to your friend and former teammate Ben Carver, and what dangerous experiments the researchers there have been conducting.
The trailer shows Zula and her synthetic companion Davis One traveling to Castor's Cradle research station, which has been overrun by Xenomorphs, and crashing into the facility after being hit by a missile. Inside the station, the extent of the disaster is revealed: scenes of destruction, smoke, and blood show that the station is doomed.
Not for the faint-hearted
Towards the end of the trailer, it is revealed that the company Gemini Exoplanet Solutions has been experimenting with Xenomorphs that have now taken control. The aliens have evolved and are stronger, faster, and more unpredictable than ever before.
Finally, the trailer shows how players can combat the threat with a variety of weapons, including the M41 Prototype Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, Revolver, equipment such as the Motion Tracker, Plasma Torch, Health Stims, and a Tablet, and of course, your companion and helper, Davis One.
Alien: Rogue Incursion will be released on December 19, 2024 for PlayStation VR2 and PC VR headsets. The Meta Quest 3S and 3 version has been delayed to 2025.
