Drawing of winners: Within 7 days after the end of the competition day.
Notification of winners: By e-mail.
Shipping: Keys by e-mail, physical items by mail (address in USA, United Kingdom or Europe required. People from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are invited to participate in the parallel advent calendar on mixed.de).
Notes: If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and we will redraw the prize. What to expect from the Pimax Crystal Comfort Topstrap
The Pimax Crystal Comfort Topstrap is an optional accessory for current Pimax VR headsets such as the Crystal, Crystal Sim, and Crystal Light. It is designed to significantly improve wearing comfort and enable longer VR sessions without putting too much strain on the head.
The topstrap is simply stretched over the VR headset and distributes the weight more evenly. According to Pimax, it reduces the pressure on the forehead and cheeks that can occur with prolonged wear. A setup video explains the correct installation of the accessory.
Pimax recently introduced new VR headsets
The Chinese VR manufacturer Pimax recently introduced two new VR headsets at the Frontier Event 2024: the Crystal Super with interchangeable optical engine and the budget-friendly Crystal Light.
The Crystal Super is set to set new standards in image quality with 29.5 million pixels and panels that can switch between QLED and Micro-OLED. Inside-out tracking, eye tracking, and integrated audio round out the features. At $1,799, it is positioned in the upper price segment.
The Crystal Light, as a pure PC VR headset, forgoes standalone functions and thus saves weight and costs. However, it retains core specifications such as a resolution of 2880 × 2880 pixels per eye and 120 Hz. At $699, it aims to appeal to price-conscious newcomers.
Pimax also announced the 60G Airlink module for wireless PC VR. It consists of a transmitter-receiver pair and a Micro-HDMI dongle for the headset. The Wigig technology is said to offer higher bandwidth than WiFi 6E and minimize visual compression and latency.
