What awaits you in Iron Rebellion
Iron Rebellion takes you to a solar system that threatens to break apart due to expansion. In this world, your mech is your lifeline. You take your place in the cockpit of a colossal combat robot in which every switch, lever and ammunition load is under your control.
The indie studio Black Beach has developed the game exclusively for VR and places great emphasis on a believable cockpit experience. Thanks to physics-based interactions, you can operate every switch and every control element as if you were actually inside the mech.
Your steel colossus can be equipped and customized with various weapons and abilities. In total, you have six different mech classes, twelve weapon types and 16 customization parameters at your disposal. This allows you to adapt your mech to your playing style and gain the upper hand in battle.
Iron Rebellion offers a multiplayer mode in which you can go into battle with up to three other players. You can choose from four different modes: Team Deathmatch, Uplink, Conquest and Data Breach. The battlefields are made up of seven official maps and 18 maps created by the community.
The game supports cross-platform matchmaking between Meta Quest and SteamVR. Support for flat gaming is also set to follow. Iron Rebellion was released in the fourth quarter of 2024 for Meta Quest and SteamVR.
