FACTS

Les Mills XR Bodycombat has officially launched on Steam, priced at $30. Alongside the release, the first premium DLC package "Power Strike" is available for $8. This DLC, which initially debuted on Meta Quest in 2024, delivers eight intensive workout sessions, introduces new combat moves, and features an exclusive training environment called "Arena of the Brave."

Major PSVR 2 update coming soon

Playstation VR 2 users can anticipate a substantial free update for Bodycombat. The update will introduce 16 new workout routines, add a new elbow strike move, bring three fresh environments (space station, highlands, and volcano), implement a completely redesigned user interface, and feature a new combo system. The "Power Strike" DLC will also become available for PSVR 2 users.

Developer Odders Lab has confirmed that all Meta Quest DLCs will be released for Playstation VR 2 in the coming months. Beyond "Power Strike," there's a second major DLC titled "Bodycombat 100," which celebrates the fitness program's 25th anniversary.

CONTEXT

A fresh take on VR fitness pricing

Unlike its competitors such as FitXR or Supernatural, Les Mills XR Bodycombat doesn't require a monthly subscription. Instead, Odders Lab funds ongoing development through paid DLC packages, an approach that has garnered positive feedback from the VR fitness community.

Les Mills XR Bodycombat builds on the globally renowned Bodycombat training program, which is currently offered in over 10,000 gyms worldwide. The VR adaptation provides various workout sessions of different durations and intensity levels, led by instructors Dan Cohen and Rachel Newsham.
