Build your own toy war in Plastic Battlegrounds
The game lets you live out those childhood fantasies of creating elaborate battle scenarios with toy soldiers. You'll have access to an expanding arsenal of units, vehicles, and fortifications to design your perfect battlefield. The sandbox mode offers the most complete experience right now, while the conquest mode remains experimental.
While you could theoretically play forever (it is a sandbox game, after all), you'll probably get a solid feel for the gameplay mechanics after an hour or two. If you're new to the game, there's a handy tutorial video on YouTube that covers all the basics.
This is very much a sandbox experience — the kind where your imagination sets the limits. If you spent hours arranging toy soldiers as a kid or enjoy strategic battlefield planning, this might be right up your alley.
