VR game Mannequin sees huge influx of new players after switch to F2P

The move to a free-to-play model seems to have paid off for Mannequin. The VR game is experiencing a rush of new players on Quest.
The Quest version of the multiplayer hide-and-seek game Mannequin went free-to-play on February 27, 2025.
Less than three weeks later, VR studio Fast Travel Games reports that 100,000 new Quest players have joined the game.
This is crazy but @MannequinGame has got 100.000 NEW PLAYERS since going free on Meta Quest 3 weeks ago!!!?
We're so grateful for every player, and so happy for our dedicated developers that their creation gets the attention it deserves!?

Before moving to a F2P model, the VR game cost $20. The free version provides access to the classic Mannequin gameplay. The studio makes money with a premium upgrade that adds more features, customization options and additional maps. It costs $9.
The switch comes at a time when many premium titles are struggling in the Horizon Store and the trend is toward F2P games. The change in strategy seems to have paid off for Fast Travel Games, but it remains to be seen where increased player numbers can be turned into revenue.
The PC VR version still uses the premium model, but the price has been reduced from $20 to $10.
You can get Mannequin from the Horizon Store and Steam.
