V-Racer Hoverbike promises Wipeout-style racing on Meta Quest

V-Racer Hoverbike is a futuristic sci-fi racing game for speed junkies, coming soon to the Meta Quest platform.
The studio promises a high-speed VR racing experience that offers "intense adrenaline" and "precise motion control". The tracks range from neon-lit cityscapes to wild off-world tracks.
"Feel the rush as you pilot your hoverbike through stunning futuristic tracks, dodging obstacles, leaning into sharp turns, and pushing your reflexes to the limit," the studio writes.

According to the official description, there will be five game modes:
- Time Trials: Shave off those milliseconds and set records.
- Online Multiplayer: Challenge friends or global competitors in intense races.
- Combat Race: Battle rivals with weapons and power-ups.
- Survivor: Stay ahead and be the last one standing on the track!
- Neon Runner: Pass through gates and blast mines ahead to pave your way to victory.
The intuitive controls and "physics-driven cockpit motion" are said to reduce motion sickness. Whether this is the case remains to be seen in a future hands-on with the game.
You can now add VR racer Hoverbike to your wish list in the Horizon Store. All current Quest headsets are supported. The release window is set for spring 2025.
A PC VR port
V-Racer Hoverbike is a port of the PC VR game of the same name, which was released in early access in 2018 and has since received over 200 "very positive" reviews. Steam notes that the game hasn't been updated in at least 16 months.
If you're looking for a similar sci-fi VR racing experience on Meta Quest, you might find it in Void Racer: Extreme.
