Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track arrives as new Beat Saber DLC
Kendrick Lamar's famous diss track against Drake is now available as official DLC for Beat Saber.
Beat Saber has added Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" to its song library as part of the game's "Shock Drop" series of surprise content releases. The track, which follows Eminem's "Houdini" as the latest unexpected addition, is now available for $2 across Meta Quest, Steam and PSVR 2.
Lamar's growing presence in VR gaming
The track, released in May 2023 during Lamar's widely publicized feud with Drake, has since collected five Grammy Awards and was featured in Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show performance.
Lamar's music has found its way into other VR rhythm games as well. Synth Riders is currently celebrating Super Bowl LIX with a "Kendrick Lamar Experience," featuring the rapper's 2017 track "Humble" and its music video. The experience debuted exclusively on Apple Vision Pro and will expand to additional platforms in the future.
Building on Metallica's record-breaking package
This single-track release follows Beat Saber's largest paid DLC to date — the Metallica Music Pack launched in December. The collection features 17 songs from the heavy metal legends, including "One" and "Master of Puppets," spanning 101 minutes of gameplay. The pack introduces the game's most challenging levels yet and a new mechanic where cube speeds adjust dynamically based on song intensity.
The Metallica content also includes a custom environment with elaborate fire effects, lighting, moving structures and detailed visual elements.
