Augmented World Expo creates dedicated space for XR gaming developers
Augmented World Expo announces the launch of the AWE Gaming Hub. The new offering is designed to better connect XR game developers.
The Augmented World Expo (AWE) is expanding its focus on XR gaming with a new Gaming Hub designed to connect developers with key industry players. The initiative launches at AWE USA 2025, creating dedicated spaces for game studios to showcase their work and build crucial business relationships.
The Gaming Hub will feature multiple components: an exhibition area for demos, a gaming stage for live presentations, and dedicated spaces where developers can test the latest tools and accessories. The setup enables direct connections between developers and potential partners through hands-on workshops and speed networking sessions.
Content creators get dedicated time slots for interviews and gameplay sessions, with select creators participating in panel discussions and VR sports demonstrations. The event runs from June 10-12, 2025, in Long Beach, California.
Building on a decade of XR gaming presence
While XR gaming has been part of AWE since its 2010 debut, this marks the first time it gets its own dedicated space beyond traditional exhibition areas. Several prominent XR gaming companies have already committed to the 2025 event, including:
- Another Axiom (Gorilla Tag)
- Resolution Games (Demeo)
- Mighty Coconut (Walkabout Mini Golf VR)
- Sinn Studio (Swordsman VR)
- Kluge Interactive (Synth Riders)
- Flat2VR (Trombone Champ: Unflattened)
- LIV
Jason Rubin, Vice President of Metaverse Experiences and Naughty Dog co-founder, is slated to deliver the keynote address. The Gaming Hub will also feature prominent content creators including Cas & Chary, JayBratt, Matteo, Mack Falconer, TribeGreywolf, AtomBombBody, Techman Prime, and Gingas VR.
AWE USA 2025 expects to draw more than 6,500 XR professionals, 500 speakers from the AR and VR industry, and over 300 international exhibitors. Super Early Bird tickets offering more than $500 off 3-day passes remain available until March 13, 2025.
