FACTS

MSI France had started a countdown for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti on its website, setting the release date for February 20, 2025. The hardware manufacturer thus confirmed the date, which had previously been revealed by a leak from online retailer Proshop. However, the website with the countdown has since been taken offline again.

No specific models can currently be seen on the French MSI website, but the URL clearly referred to the "GeForce RTX 5070 Ti". The French retailer Topachat also recently listed the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC Edition, which indicates that the first graphics cards have already been delivered to retailers.

The RTX 5070 Ti will be equipped with a GB203 chip and has 8,960 CUDA cores as well as 16 GB GDDR7 video memory with 256-bit memory connection. The Founders Edition will retail for 749 dollars, custom models are expected to be pricier. The TDP is 300 watts.

Nvidia had already presented the RTX 5070 Ti at CES, but scheduled the launch later than the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, which went on sale on January 30. The exact performance data of the new graphics card will be revealed at the launch. Experts expect the RTX 5070 Ti to match the performance of the RTX 4080 Super, as the RTX 5080 is only around 10-15 percent faster than the latter.

CONTEXT

Leak seems to be confirmed

As we reported earlier, the online retailer Proshop had leaked February 20 as the release date for the RTX 5070 Ti in its product listings. The retailer listed three custom models from Asus: the TUF OC as well as the Prime and Prime OC variants. The official confirmation by MSI now underlines the credibility of this leak. According to the original leak, the launch is to take place at 3 p.m., although MSI has not yet confirmed this.
