LEAK

Online retailer Proshop has accidentally revealed what appears to be the first concrete launch date for Nvidia's RTX 5070 Ti. According to their product listings, the new Blackwell graphics card will go on sale February 20th, 2025 at 3 PM CET. The date appeared alongside listings for three Asus custom models: the TUF OC variant and two Prime models (standard and OC versions).

If Nvidia's suggested pricing holds true, expect to pay at least $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti. Custom models will likely start around $800, though Proshop hasn't listed specific prices yet.

CONTEXT

Limited availability expected at launch

Industry insiders are warning of potential supply constraints when the Blackwell generation launches. Your best chances are your trusted local online retailers. Most sellers are expected to limit purchases to one card per customer.

The limited supply could drive prices significantly higher than MSRP. We're already seeing this with the RTX 5080, where custom models are selling well above the $999 MSRP — some reaching as high as $2,200.

Early RTX 5080 benchmarks raise questions

Leaked benchmarks for the higher-end RTX 5080 show only modest performance gains. Professional applications like Blender see less than 10% improvement over the previous generation. Gaming benchmarks fare slightly better, with 3DMark Time Spy showing an 18% increase.

If the rumors are accurate, the RTX 5070 Ti will launch exactly three weeks after the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 hit the market. We can likely expect the first independent reviews to drop one day before the official sale date.
