Meta Quest: Party Versus connects your living rooms to a mixed reality playground
Hide behind your couches and dodge flying potatoes — Party Versus is here to bring chaos to your living room.
Schell Games, known for Among Us VR and I Expect You To Die 3, today released Party Versus for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. The mixed reality party game is available for $9.99 in the Meta Horizon Store or can be played for free with a Meta Quest+ subscription.
According to Jesse Schell, CEO of Schell Games, Party Versus connects the real world with the virtual world and allows players to share game nights from anywhere. The game supports 2 to 4 players and features over a dozen different mini-games.
The mixed reality implementation is particularly innovative: all players' rooms merge into a shared gaming environment. Participants' real furniture is integrated into the gameplay, so you can hide behind your own sofa or bounce objects off the walls.
Crazy mini-games and social features
Party Versus offers the following features:
- Different game modes: In the "Party Playoffs" mode, players compete for the party crown, while "Quick Party" offers individual mini-games to choose from.
- Variety of mini-games: Includes Hot Potato (tossing potatoes between rooms), Spike Attack (spiky ball dodging action), and Pop Pals (team-based balloon popping).
- Social Features: Players can create private parties with friends or join public parties.
- Reward System: Wands, glow sticks and sparklers can be unlocked by winning games.
- Twisted Mode: Special variations of the mini-games in which the rooms are turned upside down or otherwise distorted.
Party Versus promises a new approach to virtual game nights by merging the physical and digital worlds. The game is now available for Meta Quest and offers chaotic multiplayer fun for the whole family.
