Skydance's Behemoth launches on December 5th for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and PC VR.

It was only yesterday that MIXED and other outlets were provided access to Skydance's Behemoth.

The studio has said that there was a hardware failure that delayed the testing and certification process on all platforms. The team is said to have recovered from the incident and can deliver access to a version of the game that meets the high standards of the studio and the fans.

However, Behemoth will receive a day-one patch for Playstation VR 2 on launch day and a day-seven patch for Meta Quest a week later. It is not known what issues these patches will fix.

Behemoth: Comparison and first impressions tomorrow, review later

MIXED is currently testing Behemoth and will have a technical comparison between the PSVR 2 and Quest versions as well as first impressions of the game at launch tomorrow. If the VR game has any grave issues at launch, we will let you know. As we only got access yesterday, the full review will follow after the launch.

Skydance has confirmed via X that Behemoth will also be coming to Meta's PC VR platform. No word yet on when the Steam version will be released.

Behemoth is one of the most anticipated VR games of the year. In it, you take on the role of Wren, a hunter who roams cursed wastelands to hunt down giant creatures, the eponymous Behemoths, and break the curse that lies upon her village.

The game is being developed by the creators of the VR hits The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners 1 & 2 and, like those games, focuses on realistic, physics-based melee combat in an inhospitable world.
