Real VR Fishing is a beautiful fishing game coming soon to Steam
One of the most popular VR fishing games is coming to Steam.
Real VR Fishing will be released in early December on Steam, where you can already add it to your wishlist.
Supported VR headsets include, among others:
- Meta Quest 2
- Meta Quest 3
- Meta Quest 3S
- Oculus Rift
- HTC Vive
- Valve Index
All previous DLCs are also supported:
- US West Coast DLC
- US East Coast DLC
- Japan DLC Part 1 + 2
The PC VR version is identical to the Quest version in terms of gameplay and pricing, and includes over 95 fishing spots and 300 species of fish (including all DLC content).
With multiplayer support, you can fish alone or with up to three friends. YouTube and web browsing are also included, along with monthly updates and the ability to customize your aquarium.
Real VR Fishing is currently onl< available for Meta Quest in the Horizon Store and for Pico headsets in the Pico Store.
Real VR Fishing is a hit with VR players
Real VR Fishing was originally released for PC VR. After the title became a hit on Meta Quest, the PC VR version wasn't updated for a long time. Until this new release.
In 2022, I tried the VR game on Meta Quest 2 and was impressed by the graphics.
The fishing game combines high-quality 360-degree imagery with photogrammetry, a great water simulation and occasional animated elements such as ducks swimming by, clouds gliding down a mountainside or falling petals.
At the end of 2023, an update was released for Quest 3 that increased the frame rate and optionally increased the resolution by 50 percent.
Real VR Fishing is a VR hit, with more than 800,000 units sold and more than 50,000 monthly players (as of October 2024).
