FACTS

VR studio Survios today announced the casting of one of the main characters in Alien: Rogue Incursion. Actor Robbie Daymond, known from Spider-Man, Hi-Fi Rush and Critical Role, will play the role of the AI companion Davis 01.

The artificial intelligence assists protagonist Zula Hendricks (Andia Winslow) in the fight against the Xenomorphs. Davis 01 will not only act as an advisor, but will also play an important role in the story as Zula's mission becomes a personal obsession.

CONTEXT

A VR horror game with a retro look

Designed specifically for virtual reality, Alien: Rogue Incursion will be released on December 19 for Playstation VR 2 and PC VR headsets via Steam. Meta Quest owners will have to wait until early 2025.

The game takes its visual cues from the first two films and focuses on a retro future with CRT monitors and analog technology. The story takes place at the Castor's Cradle research station on the planet LV-354.

There, protagonist Zula searches for her missing teammate Ben Carver and stumbles upon dangerous experiments. The station has been overrun by mutated Xenomorphs that are even more dangerous than their fellow species.

A classic alien arsenal is available for defense, including the iconic motion scanner, pulse rifles and plasma torches. Whether this is enough to survive in virtual reality will be revealed in December.
