What awaits you in Airspace Defender
Airspace Defender is inspired by the Atari classic Missile Command and transfers its game concept to spatial mixed reality. Instead of a flat playing surface as in the original, in Airspace Defender you have a hemisphere in front of you. A defense battery is located on the left and right edges of the hemisphere.
Your aim is to protect a city from falling nuclear missiles. To achieve this, fire the defensive missiles with your hands by bringing your index finger and thumb together at the desired point in the room. You also have to move, as it is difficult to predict where the nuclear missiles will hit from a fixed perspective.
If a nuclear missile hits a district, it will be wiped off the map. The city districts serve as your “lives”. If they are all destroyed, you have to start all over again. However, if you survive a wave of attacks, you can use the money you earn to increase your stock of defensive missiles, purchase better defenses or rebuild a district to have more “lives”. The aim is to survive as many waves of attacks as possible.
