PlaySide Studios has announced the mixed reality thriller Shattered. According to the company, the game will be released exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S and will transform your living room into a labyrinthine escape room experience.
In Shattered, you play as Jessica, a private investigator who must uncover the dark secrets of a mysterious psychiatric facility. According to Jamie Bentley, vice president of PlaySide, the game blurs the lines between memory and insanity. The single-player experience is scheduled for release in December 2024 at a price of $19.99.

PlaySide Studios: Experienced developer from Australia
PlaySide Studios has established itself as a developer in Australia over the past decade. The studio has released over 70 titles for mobile, PC and VR/AR, including games such as Age of Darkness: Final Stand, Kill Knight and the Dumb Ways to Die series.
Most recently, the company made a name for itself when it was named "Studio of the Year" at the 2023 Australian Game Developer Awards. With Shattered, PlaySide Studios is embarking on its most ambitious mixed reality project to date.
With Dumb Ways: Free for All, PlaySide is releasing the first VR spin-off of the humorous franchise in November. Dumb Ways to Die was originally an advertising campaign for Metro Trains in Australia, featuring cartoon beans getting into humorous situations. When the VR game launches, you can play 50 VR mini-games as a Dumb Ways to Die bean with up to five friends. Two DLCs are planned for December and January, each offering an additional 25 mini-games.
