Iron Rebellion: VR mech game announces major update and launch date
Black Beach Studio is preparing the release of its VR mech game Iron Rebellion. The game will leave Early Access at the end of 2024 and will be released as a full version for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro and PC VR via Steam. Before then, you can expect a major update with new "mech abilities". These range from camouflage and EMP blasts to air strikes and energy shields. Iron Rebellion features six customizable mech classes, 15 maps, 14 weapons, and four game modes. You control the mechs from a physics-based cockpit and can run, jump, shoot and manage internal systems. The studio is also planning a flat-screen version after launch. The current update is already available in Early Access on Meta Quest and Steam VR.
