FACTS

Curve Games and No Brakes Games have announced that they are bringing the indie hit Human Fall Flat to virtual reality.

In Human Fall Flat VR, you take on the role of an awkward, cuddly character navigating surreal, dream-like levels. The third-person perspective designed specifically for VR headsets and the control of the avatar's wobbly arms with the VR controllers should provide a new gaming experience and plenty of chaos.

You can play the tricky physics puzzles in both single-player and co-op mode with up to three friends. The VR edition includes all levels from the original game as well as additional "Extra Dreams" created by the community.

Human Fall Flat VR will be released for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro, Playstation VR 2 and PC-VR via SteamVR at a price of $12.99. The publisher has not yet announced a release date.

CONTEXT

From a whimsical 2D world to an immersive VR world

Developed by No Brakes Games and published by Curve Digital in 2016, Human Fall Flat has already sold more than 50 million copies in its non-VR version. On Steam, the title currently has an average review score of "very positive" with more than 150,000 reviews.

What makes Human Fall Flat so special is its innovative physics engine. Players have to control the character's limbs individually, which makes for many humorous moments as the character clumsily stumbles through the levels. A highlight for many fans is the multiplayer mode, in which up to eight players can explore the creative levels and solve puzzles together. The teamwork and the resulting chaos make for hours of fun.

It will be especially exciting to see how the VR version implements the controls of the original and the multiplayer mode.
