Developer studio Mighty Coconut has released a new expansion for the popular VR mini-golf game Walkabout Mini Golf. The Mars Gardens DLC is now available for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR 2, SteamVR, and Pico headsets, priced at €3.99. A version for the iOS app Walkabout Mini Golf: Pocket Edition is set to follow.

The new course transports you to a futuristic bio-dome on Mars, housing a colony. Across 18 holes, playable in both an easy and a challenging mode, you must putt your way through gently curving lines and craters. Mighty Coconut promises a unique atmosphere that captures the challenges of life on the red planet.

Additional features of the Mars Gardens DLC include:

  • A themed scavenger hunt where you can unlock a special commemorative putter.
  • New Mars-themed avatars to unlock.
  • A drivable rover and interactive elements such as robotic arms and holograms.
  • The ability to restart courses directly without returning to the main menu.

The Mars Gardens course is also slated to arrive for the iOS version, Walkabout Mini Golf: Pocket Edition, later this fall. A specific release date has not been announced yet.
