Promising mixed reality game Infinite Inside to be released in July for Quest 3, Vision Pro and more
Maze Theory, the creators of Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, take you on an atmospheric mixed reality adventure with Infinite Inside.
British VR studio Maze Theory has announced the release date for its new mixed reality puzzle adventure. Infinite Inside will be released on 12 July 2024 to coincide with the European launch of the Apple Vision Pro.
It will also be released for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro, as well as Pico 4, where it will also support mixed reality. A VR-only version will be released on the same date for Playstation VR 2 and SteamVR.
Interesting mix of VR and mixed reality
According to Maze Theory CEO Ian Hambleton, the studio aims to break new ground with Infinite Inside by blending mixed reality and virtual reality in an unprecedented way. The game will appeal to mixed reality and gaming enthusiasts, as well as puzzle and adventure fans.
Maze Theory is known for the VR games Peaky Blinders: The Kings of Ransom and Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, among others. Infinite Inside is Maze Theory's first game based on its own IP.
A free early access demo in the Quest App Lab already gives a promising foretaste of the finished game. It skillfully switches between mixed and virtual reality and creates a mystical, dreamlike atmosphere. You can read more about this in Tomislav's hands-on with Infinite Inside.
