Osso VR and ACC present realistic VR training for cardiologists
Osso VR, in collaboration with the American College of Cardiology (ACC), has released a new VR training module for cardiologists. The module allows interventionalists to practice the complex procedure of left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) in a realistic, risk-free virtual reality environment. LAAO is performed to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. The partnership between Osso VR and the ACC aims to improve access to quality cardiovascular care and advance medical education. Osso VR will present the LAAO training at the ACC Annual Scientific Session, April 6-8, 2024 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
