Lawn Mowing Simulator VR is coming to Meta Quest 3
Starting in March, the Meta Quest 3 will be your go-to headset for lawn mowing in VR.
Lawn Mowing Simulator VR, a curious everyday simulator, will be released on Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro on March 21, 2024. The game aims to bring the lawn mowing experience from your own backyard to Virtual Reality. Mowing enthusiasts can look forward to a sunny world full of overgrown grass.
You will be able to maintain your equipment, inspect the ground and explore unique locations in need of some gardening. The lawnmower headquarters also has a maintenance room where you can keep your infernal machines in perfect condition.
True lawn mower fans will even recognize some models, as Lawn Mowing Simulator VR will even include original licensed equipment from renowned real-world lawn mower manufacturers such as Stiga and Ego. You will also be able to drive the Knight lawn mower, designed specifically for the game, across the virtual lawn. Lawn trimmers will also be available.
Virtual Reality meets everyday life
Lawn Mowing Simulator VR represents the growing trend of incorporating everyday tasks into simulation-based video games or immersive VR experiences. Players escape from their everyday lives and relax with activities they would not necessarily consider doing in real life.
PowerWash Simulator VR is similar in that. The VR game puts a pressure washer in your hands and unleashes you on completely filthy cars, play structures, and other everyday objects.
Lawn Mowing Simulator has been available for PC since 2021. On Steam, the simulator has a "mostly positive" rating with just over 1,500 reviews and has already been expanded with two DLCs, Dino Safari and Ancient Britain.
